Thai Airways Cancellation Policy

A few words about Thai Airways Cancellation Policy

  • As per the norms of the Thai Airways cancellation policy, passengers can cancel most tickets before their flight with a certain fee. They cannot cancel partially used Economy Saver fares. If you do not show up for your flight, you will be charged a No-Show fee and lose your fare.
  • Take a glance at the key points of the Thai Airways flight cancellation policy:
  • If travelers buy a flight ticket to/from the United States at least seven days before their trip, they can cancel it within 24 hours of booking without any charges.
  • You can either keep it at the quoted price without paying or cancel it within 24 hours without any penalty if you book a ticket 7 days or more before your trip.
  • If Thai Airways changes your flight schedule significantly within 14 days of your trip:
  • You can agree to the changes.
  • You can choose alternative arrangements of equal or higher value.
  • You can pick alternative arrangements of lower value and get the price difference between the original and new fares.
  • You can get a full refund without any penalties.
  • Note: You must tell the airline your choice within 3 days of being informed about the changes. If you don't, it's assumed that you've accepted the changes.
  • If you are forced to miss your flight because of overbooking or too many passengers, you usually get compensation, no matter where you were flying.
  • You can cancel and get a refund without any extra charges, thanks to Thai Airways' cancellation policy within the first 24 hours of buying your ticket.
  • You need to cancel it through them directly if you bought your ticket through a travel agent.
  • If Thai Airways cancels your flight, doesn't follow the schedule properly, misses your destination, or makes you miss a connecting flight with a confirmed booking, you can do these things without paying extra:
  • Take the next available Thai Airways flight.
  • Extend your ticket's validity and travel later.
  • Take a later flight to your destination within a reasonable time on Thai Airways, another airline, or any agreed transportation mode and class, without extra charges. If the new transportation costs less, you'll get a refund for the difference.
  • Ask for a full refund for the part of your ticket you didn't use.

Thai Airways 24-Hour Cancellation

  • Normal bookings: If you make a regular booking at least seven days before your flight, you get two options:
  • You can keep the booking at the price you were quoted without paying for it right away.
  • You can cancel the booking without any fees within 24 hours after making it.
  • Bookings that involve flights to or from the United States:
  • If your booking includes at least one flight to or from the United States, you can cancel it within 24 hours of booking without any charges.
  • This applies as long as your flight's departure, at the time of booking, is at least seven days away.
