Free Cancellation:
- Customers can cancel their ticket and get a full refund if:
- They request a refund at least 91 days before your flight from Korea.
- Korean Air cancels their flights.
- They cancel an international flight from Korea or to/from the United States within 24 hours of purchase (must be bought at least seven days before the flight).
- They cancel the tickets on the same day as they bought their tickets from Korean Air directly (considering your departure city's time zone).
International Flights from Korea:
- Refund penalties depend on your booking class, route, and when you apply for a refund.
- There is a refund penalty for flights not departing from Korea, no matter when you cancel.
- Economy Saver Fares (N, T): Customers can cancel these fares with a fee. They are non-refundable from the U.S.

Award Tickets Refund Fee on International Flights (in miles):
- More than 91 days before departure: Refund is free of charge.

- If you want a refund for an Upgrade Award ticket (for international flights) before your ticket expires, the same refund penalty as the original ticket applies.
Refund Fee for Award Tickets on Domestic Flights (in miles):
- Before the expiration date: It costs 500 miles to get a refund.
- After the ticket expiration date: If you request a refund after the ticket has expired, it will cost you 3,000 miles.
- Korean Air charges a refund fee, no matter what penalties and fees are applied to the original ticket.
- If you do not board your flight after checking in or if you do not cancel your booking before departure, there will be extra charges. No-show charges apply to all tickets, including Award Tickets (except lap infants without assigned seats).
